The social media account work over the past year has been so good! Love learning from the YPC members’ perspectives about specific policy issues! Partnering with program staff has also been a rich experience and led to new youth leadership opportunities across our collective organizations.
YPC has always been a positive support for the community. They are consistently able to meet others where they are at. They bring an upbeat and positive energy that can be hard to find in community spaces. I look forward to seeing the YPC team in any space that I am in!
I met staff members at YPC through an initiative called Gateway 2 Opportunity. I found YPC’s work and ideas to be vital to the project and I really valued the brainstorm meetings with them and all of their incredible work connecting me with other community partners and change makers. Frankly, I don’t think the Gateway 2 Opportunity project would have been nearly as successful without YPC.

Working with YPC has been amazing. I’ve been able to grow my skills in leadership and facilitation as well as build meaningful connections with people who also want to do the real work. It’s given me the chance to be part of the change I wanted to see as a young person and to be a voice in that movement.
Even with everything going on in my life, doing this work feels like my safe space and makes me feel better as a human being doing this work with a great group of people.
Working with Media Team is building connection and friendship between the team. Getting new information every day and knowledge from different research you do as a team.
Joining the YPC Media Team when it started was one of the best things I’ve done. Being on this team has given me more access to not only resources to create change but also connections to people who care about change and work to impact it!
